I enjoy these types of exercises that involve the mind and breathing. This is a great demonstration of the power of our minds and how the mind affects the body. As I followed the prompts from the exercise I could feel the shift in blood flow to my arms and hands and the warmth associated with the blood flow shift. After completing the exercise I feel relaxed and calm, yet energized and ready for the rest of my day.

We all need to find a therapeutic form of relaxation that energizes the systems of our body and mind. It's awesome how they work together in uinson if we allow them to! ReplyDeleteThrough the different classes I have been taking I have learned the benefits of these types of exercises. I really enjoy them and feel so much calmer after doing them. I have started listening to relaxing sounds at night before I to to bed and as my alarm in the morning and wish that I would of started doing that earlier in my life.

DeleteI think you touched on an important point where we must find what works for us in terms of relaxation. Not one treatment is standard or one size fits all, but I think regardless of our preference some benefit can be gained by all by using this type of relaxation exercise.

ReplyDeleteI also enjoy these types of exercises. When I first tried one years ago, I found it remarkable that it worked. Before I tried these types of exercises, I was skeptical about how effective they would be. I am glad that I finally did dive in because relaxation techniques not only work for me, but they are also enjoyable. I can actually feel the realignment after the exercise is over. Depending on how stimulating the exercise is, some work better for me than others. I think that the Journey On exercise is a really good one. I enjoyed your blog.
